The magnetic pull of Durham hydro poles and the almost tangible urge to connect by drivers, has resulted in at least the 13th hydro pole to be downed so far this year.
It is also the second such incident of October, according to a count being kept by Durham Post from announced collisions. We admit there might be more that we may have missed.
Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday had to close a section of Adelaide Road in Oshawa, while Oshawa Power carried out the necessary repairs.
“ROAD CLOSURE – Oshawa – Adelaide is closed between Central Park and Wilson with a hydro pole down – closure will be for an extended period of time while Oshawa PUC does repairs,” said a DRPS tweet.
Power outage affecting 256 customers in Northeast Oshawa, said notices from Oshawa Power.
