15-year old stabs youth on bus at Pickering GO Station

Durham Police yesterday said a male was stabbed while on a public transit bus at the Pickering GO Station.

On Thursday, May 9 at about 4:20 pm, members of West Division responded to an assault call at the Pickering GO Station, located at 1322 Bayly Street.

A youth was stabbed by another youth during a verbal altercation, while on a Durham Regional Transit bus. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was located at the GO Station and taken into custody without incident, said a police report.

This was an isolated incident and the victim and suspect are known to each other.

A 15-year-old male from Oshawa is charged with: Assault Cause Bodily Harm, and Possess Weapon Dangerous to the Public.

He was released on an undertaking by his guardian.
