Another driver forced to walk away from an impound

The weather is just right for a brisk walk along Durham’s tree-lined landscape as the driver of this truck found out yesterday.

Probably heady from the arrival of spring, the motorist was out revving up his engine to see how much power his truck could muster.

Powerful indeed it must have been as he was clocked doing almost twice the speed limit in Whitby by DRPS Traffic Services.

“Another driver held accountable for their speed and walked away from a traffic stop post-impound,” said the police yesterday.

They said the driver was going almost twice the speed limit on Myrtle Road and Heron Road in Ashburn on Wednesday evening.

“Slow down,” they warned drivers.
