18-year old charged in four-car crash that seriously hurt two

Durham Police investigators have laid charges against a driver in a collision that left two people with serious injuries in June.

On Friday, June 21 at about 3:45 pm, members from Central East Division responded to a report of a collision involving four motor vehicles on Ritson Road just north of Wildflower Court, in Oshawa.

A green GMC pickup truck was heading southbound when it lost control and hit a black Buick Vera, also going southbound, followed by two northbound vehicles, a grey Toyota RAV4 and a grey Jeep. The green GMC pickup truck rolled onto its side causing significant damage to the two northbound vehicles.

The driver of the Green GMC pickup is now facing charges, police said.

The suspect, age 18 of Oshawa, was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
