25 new detached-singles community for Clarington

The Municipality of Clarington has announced receipt of an application for a new housing development on Hill Street In Newtonville.

DG Biddle and Associates, on behalf of Whitepine Contractors, has submitted a subdivision and zoning by-law amendment application to permit the development of 25 single-detached units, said a municipal statement.

It said the proposal also introduces a new local road which connects off of Hill Street, a stormwater pond, and a future park.

The site area is approximately 8.7 hectares (21.5 acres) and is located at 4442 and 4430 Hill Street, Newtonville (see map below).

The municipality has called a public meeting for the proposed land use change.

Residents and stakeholders can join online or in person on Monday, December 5 at 6:30 pm at the Council Chambers, Municipal Administrative Centre, 40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville.
