DRPS Traffic Services said in the first 2.5 weeks, the DRPS Ride Team has taken 33 impaired drivers off the roadways of the community.
“This is unacceptable. Don’t become a statistic, arrange for a safe drive home,” they advisd.
The Ride Team was out again in full force last night.
“Remember the RIDE Team not only has the tools to detect alcohol impairment but drug impairment as well. Two motorists, who had consumed cannabis, were given Sobriety Tests to ensure they were not impaired,” police said.
It said it’ll take much more than a little inclement weather to keep the DRPS RIDE Team from searching for impaired drivers! There are so many options for getting home safe. Why risk it?
