Over $24,000 in stolen machinery recovered from locker

Durham Police said an arrest has led to the recovery of stolen machinery from various Scugog and Uxbridge businesses, valued in excess of $24,000.

On Wednesday, November 27, members of North Division Criminal Investigations Bureau concluded an investigation into numerous property crimes.

Throughout October and November, the suspect committed break and enters at multiple businesses within North Division, stealing heavy equipment and machinery. Investigators were able to trace the suspect to a storage locker in Scarborough where he was attempting to sell the stolen items online, police said.

A Criminal Code search warrant was executed, resulting in the recovery of items valued in excess of $24,000.

A 35-year-old male, of Toronto was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
