Durham Police have seized $316,000 worth of stolen marijuana in Brock during a traffic stop.
On Friday, November 29, members of North Division were proactively patrolling in the area of Scugog Line 14 and Highway 12 in Brock.
A traffic stop was conducted, leading to a search of the vehicle. Some 550 marijuana plants and over 60lbs of dried processed cannabis were seized, a value of about $316,000. The investigation revealed that an out-of-region licenced marijuana grow operation had been broken into and the cannabis was stolen.
All items were seized and the two men were arrested, police said.
A 30-year-old male from Richmond Hill was charged and released on an undertaking.
A 57-year-old male from Toronto was charged and held for a bail hearing.
