Charged for operating vehicle with property in front

Improper loads are a common occurrance on Durham roads and the police are quick to act upon it as and when they catch sight of it.

Yesterday, Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) North Division, charged a driver for operating a vehicle while crowded and operating a motor vehicle with property in the front so placed as to interfere with the proper management or control of the motor vehicle.

This driver’s home improvement project proved more costly than originally estimated.

Heavy Tint

DRPS North Division officers also charged a driver for front window tint (see image below).

Police need to be able to see inside a vehicle for various reasons. Some reasons include seatbelt compliance, driver not using cell phone and not impaired, police explained

Road Closure

DRPS yesterday closed off Thickson Road North at Winchester Road East in Whitby for a collision investigation.

All north- and southbound traffic was closed. Please consider alternate routes, police advised.
