A loaded 3D printed handgun was located in a vehicle that was involved in a collision at Highway 412 and Highway 401 in Whitby.
The driver who was arrested was also found wearing a holster, said an alert from Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
“Further search of the vehicle and his residence with judicial authority revealed additional 3D printed firearm components, firearms, knives and ammunition,” said the OPP.
It said the 30-year-old from Pickering is facing multiple weapons charges and he remains in custody at this time.
Swat Team Helps In Gun Raid
A male is facing charges following a firearm investigation by the DRPS Drug Enforcement Unit in Pickering.
In early July, members of the Drug Enforcement Unit concluded a firearm investigation into a male suspect, and with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in Pickering.
The suspect was located inside the residence and taken into custody without incident. A search of the residence located a Glock auto sear switch, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.
At the time of his arrest, the accused was on weapons prohibition conditions.
The suspect, age 19 from Ajax was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
