An investigation by the Guns and Gangs Unit in Beaverton led to the arrest of a man for firearm charges.
In August, investigators with the Guns and Gangs Unit (GGU) began an investigation into a suspect after receiving information from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) that he was importing unregulated firearm parts from the United States.
On Tuesday, September 1, investigators with the Guns and Gangs Unit (GGU) concluded their investigation and executed a search warrant at a residence in Beaverton.
The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody without incident. Two rifles, magazines, and ammunition were located in the residence and he does not hold a valid firearm licence (PAL).
The 40-year old man from Brock was held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
