$986 charges, 14-day impound for 121kmh in 70-zone

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said West Division officers caught a driver doing 121kmh in a 70-zone in Pickering and Ajax area.

DRPS West Division B Platoon caught a car doing 121kmh in a 70kmh zone last week, said a DRPS tweet.

It said the vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and the driver was charged $986.35 for the towing and storage fees.

The tweet did not mention the amount of the fine or black points. No further details were provided.

“It’s never worth the rush!” the tweet, however, added.
