Durham Police investigators are looking for an unknown number of suspects after a food-bank warehouse was broken into in Oshawa.
On Thursday, April 28 at about 6 am, members of Central East Division were dispatched to a food-bank warehouse on Marwood Drive for a break-and-enter that occurred overnight. The suspect(s) gained entry and stole electronics and various supplies, as well as a large panel van, said a police statement.
At around 11:30 am, an officer on general patrol located the stolen panel van travelling in the area of Trulls Road and Highway 2 in Courtice. The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop but the truck fled at a high rate of speed. The brief pursuit was discontinued out of concern for public safety, it said.
The suspect driver is described as: male, White, 30 to 40 years old and he was wearing a green and yellow toque.
