Durham Police are investigating after a teen was shot in Pickering Thursday afternoon.
On April 29 at about 4 pm, members from West Division were dispatched to a fight call in the area of Liverpool Road and Linwood Street in Pickering. When they arrived, they located a conscious 17-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds, said a police statement.
He was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he is being treated for serious injuries.
At this time there is no description available for the suspect(s); however, police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward or for anyone that has any cellphone or video footage to contact investigators.
The investigation is ongoing.
