28-year old charged with attempted murder after assault

Durham police have charged a 28-year-old man with attempted murder following a violent incident in Blackstock in the Township of Scugog.

According to police, officers from North Division responded to an assist ambulance call at about 4:15 am on Friday, June 20, in the area of Sunrise Drive and Crestview Avenue. When officers arrived, they found an adult male with obvious signs of trauma.

The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre, where he remains in stable condition.

Police say the suspect was arrested at the scene and confirmed that the suspect and victim are known to each other.

A 28-year-old man, of Scugog was been charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
