Bridge replacement to shut part of Bowmanville Avenue

Durham Region is notifying residents of a temporary road closure on Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57) in Clarington as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.

The closure will take place from 8 pm on Wednesday, August 7, to 6 am on Thursday, August 8. It will affect the stretch of Bowmanville Avenue between Byers Road and Concession Road 10. The region notes that the schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

According to the region, this closure is required to support the replacement of the Burketon Station bridge over the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Railway.
