Parking lot shooting leaves two people with injuries

Durham police say two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries following an overnight shooting in Pickering.

On Saturday, August 16, at about 1:10 am, officers responded to reports of gunfire in a parking lot near Liverpool Road and Kingston Road. When officers arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to a Toronto trauma centre, where they remain in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a Brown male with a light complexion, about 6’ tall with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing a jersey-style shirt and was last seen leaving the area in a dark-coloured sedan.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting, or who may have dashcam or cellphone video, to come forward.
