Man charged in 13 Oshawa break-and-enters

Durham police say a 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a series of break-and-enters in Oshawa.

According to investigators, between May 28 and June 23, eleven units at a storage facility near Ritson Road South and Dean Avenue were broken into.

Following an investigation by the Central East Division Criminal Investigation Branch, police identified a suspect. Officers allege the same man was also responsible for a break-and-enter at a church on July 12, and another at a business on August 5.

On Thursday, August 14, members of the East Crime Team located the suspect and arrested him without incident.

A 33-year-old man, of no fixed address, was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.

At the time of his arrest, he was on probation for similar charges.
