Shooting sends man to trauma centre, two suspects arrested

Durham police say two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Ajax that left one person seriously injured.

According to police, they responded around 10:20 pm on Sunday, July 6, to a report of an armed person in the area of Commercial Avenue and Hunt Street. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.

Police say they later arrested two suspects in connection with the incident.

A 39-year-old male, of Oshawa, and a 35-year-old male, of No Fixed Address, were both charged and held for bail hearings. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
