Failed arsonists try and light Molotov cocktails at business

Durham police are searching for two suspects after an attempted arson Saturday morning in Clarington.

On September 6, members of East Division responded to a business in the area of Baseline Road West and Cigas Road in Courtice after the business owner located two incendiary devices on the property.

Officers attended and located two bottles filled with an ignitable substance. Video surveillance shows two suspects arriving and attempting to light the bottles on fire prior to fleeing the area.

Unsuccessful Suspects Flee

The suspects fled in a white sedan.

Suspect #1 is described as: male, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Suspect #2 is described as: male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
