Durham police yesterday said a man is facing charges after an armed robbery at an Oshawa business.
On Thursday, January 15 at about 11:50 am, members of Central East Division responded to a robbery call at True North Cannabis located at 1076 Cedar Street.
A male entered the business and stole a cash register while pointing a knife toward two employees. The suspect fled the business prior to police arrival.
Officers tracked the suspect to a nearby residence. The suspect was located inside of the residence but refused to surrender to police. After brief negotiations, members of the Tactical Support Unit took the suspect into custody, police said.
No employees suffered any physical injuries.
