This past weekend, officers from Durham Police East Division conducted a RIDE initiative, stopping 595 vehicles and charging one driver with impaired driving offenses.
East Division reported that the DRPS had:
- 595 vehicles stopped by RIDE
- 22 ASD’s administered
- 2 people received “7 Day Suspensions” for registering a “warn”
- 1 impaired arrest
While this weekend initiative has concluded, DRPS reminds residents that its officers are on duty 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year, ensuring roadway safety and reducing impaired driving in Durham Region.
