Aggravated assault suspect surrenders

Durham Police investigators have arrested one suspect and continue to look for the second wanted suspect after an aggravated assault in Oshawa in early February.

On Monday, February 22, 2021, Derrell Caprietta, age 21 of Whitby turned himself in at the Whitby police station. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and released on an Undertaking.

Police continue to look for George Andrews, age 28 of Pickering. He is wanted for Aggravated Assault and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He is described as male, black, 5’1″, medium build, green eyes.

Investigators encourage the accused party to contact a lawyer and turn himself in.

Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to contact D/Cst. Reeves of the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1825.
