Hometown Holiday
Alongside, Clarington Tourism has launched its seasonal promotional campaign called ‘A Hometown Holiday’ to promote Clarington’s local businesses and attractions throughout the Christmas Holidays.
“We have lots to offer to visitors throughout the holidays,” said Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster. “What’s truly magical about Christmas in Clarington is that it takes you back to your fondest memories. It’s the feeling of warmth, family and community you experience everywhere you go.”
The ‘Hometown Holiday’ campaign features many events and attractions throughout Clarington and includes local shopping, parades, tree lighting and hometown traditions.
The campaign highlights Clarington’s five popular Santa Claus Parades, a visit from the CP Holiday Train, and events such as ‘A Country Path’ Christmas, and Moonlight Magic in Historic Downtown Bowmanville.
It also showcases hometown favourites such as the Christmas light spectacle put on by residents along Old Scugog Road that visitors come to enjoy.
