Boats allowed to be stored on driveways

The town of Scugog has allowed the parking of boats on residential driveways.

A bylaw banning the practice has been suspended.

Below is the press release reasoning why:

The closure of our public boat launches has placed some additional stress on Scugog boaters in the form of storage and insurance concerns. To assist our boating community in resolving some of these concerns, the Township, under Section 4.2 of our Zoning By-Law 14-14, is temporarily suspending the zoning restrictions relating to storage of boats on residential driveways. The suspension will remain in force for the duration of the Covid-19 Emergency and will apply to boats parked/stored on private driveways during the boating season.
