The Township of Brock announced that Captain Jesse Beaudrow, was recently awarded the Ontario Medal for Firefighter Bravery, the province’s highest honour for his heroism.
In 2023 while off duty, Officer Beaudrow encountered a fiery head-on collision, and with quick thinking, used a fire extinguisher to slow the intense flames and rescue two seriously injured occupants from the burning vehicle before it became fully engulfed.
The hro was also recognized by the Township of Brock for his incredible courage in risking his life to save others.
Mayor Walter Schummer and members of council, along with District Chief Chris Gillespie and Brock Fire Chief Rick Harrison, marked this incredible act of bravery at a council meeting.
