Brock moves to expropriate waterfront lands

The Township of Brock has issued a notice to inform that an application has been made to expropriate some waterfront lands in Beaverton.

These include the:

  • Vacant waterfront lot on Morrison Avenue,
  • Vacant waterfront on north side of Shier Avene, and
  • Public Promenade and Beach

The application is for all estate rights, title and interest, said the township notice.

The purpose of the expropriation is for economic development, it said.

The notice said any owner of the lands requiring a hearing needs to notify the approving authority, which is the Council of the Township of Brock.

The expropriating authority is the Corporation of the Council of Brock.
