Burglary leads police to cash, drugs, firearm from robbed home

Homeowners, where a burglary took place earlier, were arrested after police seized cash, drugs and a loaded firearm during a search warrant in Ajax.

On November 10, investigators executed a search warrant on Booth Crescent at a residence after a home-invasion robbery took place there. Investigators seized drugs, cash and a loaded handgun. The homeowners were arrested and face numerous drug and firearm-related charges, said a police statement.

A 34-year-old male and a 29-year-old female of Ajax were charged with a combined 16 charges which include: Possess Firearm Outside Canada; Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distributing; Launder Proceeds of Crime; Careless Use/Handle/Storage of Ammunition and Careless Use/Handle/Storage of Firearm.

They were both released on Undertakings.
