Call for witnesses to Newtonville teen party shooting

Durham Police investigators are appealing to witnesses to come forward in identifying the suspects from a shooting at a house party in Newtonville last weekend.

On Sunday, June 19 at about 1:45 am, members from East Division were dispatched to an armed person call in the area of Newtonville Road and Concession Road 4. Officers arrived on scene and located three victims with gunshot wounds and one person who attended a local hospital with a stab wound. Two of the shooting victims remains in hospital but are expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white or silver compact sedan. This vehicle was parked at the residence prior to the incident and fled westbound on Concession Road 4 towards Highway 115 with several suspects around 1:35 am to 1:45 am on June 19, police said.

Police are aware that there were more than 100 teens at this party and are appealing to any witnesses that may have video evidence to come forward.
