Clarington asks visitors to ‘keep out’ of Farewell Creek

Clarington has announced construction on Farewell Creek Trail Phase 2A is continuing, and has asked visitors to keep out.

“As construction resumes on Phase 2A of the Farewell Creek Trail extension, we remind residents to keep out of the construction area. For your safety and the safety of the workers, trail users must respect the fenced limits of the construction area. Do not remove any barriers to access the area. Construction machinery, open excavations, material stockpiles, and rough terrain are all safety hazards to trail users and may cause injury or harm,” said a municipal advisory.

“We ask everyone to please respect the fenced limits of construction. The Phase 2A trail extension is expected to reopen to the public by September 2022,” it added.
