Robber(s) smash windows, steal $100,000+ in jewelry

Glass was shattered at a local business and thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry was stolen, according to Durham Police.

On May 22 at about 2 am a jewelry store located at 370 Brock Street South in Whitby, was broken into by an unknown number of suspects. The suspect(s) entered the business after they smashed out the windows. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a quantity of jewelry, which included rings, watches, and necklaces. The total value taken was more than $100,000, said a police statement.

No photos or description of the suspects are available at this time.
