Clarington man duped multiple Home Depot units across Durham

Durham Police yesterday said a male is in custody following a fraud investigation in Durham Region.

On Tuesday, March 19 at about 9 am, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested the suspect of a fraud investigation.

Between December of 2023 and March of 2024, the suspect attended different Home Depot businesses across Durham Region. The suspect submitted order forms to the service desk and received refunds for items that were never purchased.

The suspect, age 45 from Orono was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
