Clarington relaunches patio program to support outdoor dining

The Municipality of Clarington has relaunched its patio program to support restaurants and cafes in expanding dining space and attracting more customers during the summer, according to municipal officials.

The program, which runs from May to October, assists businesses in meeting municipal and accessibility standards. It offers two permit options: one for sidewalk patios on municipal right-of-way and another for patios on private property such as parking lots.

Officials stated that the program provides guidance on operational hours, design standards, and safety. Businesses in Clarington are encouraged to visit www.investclarington.ca/PatioSeason for further details and to submit applications.
