Closed tourism office staff join Clarington growth unit

Following the closure of the Tourism Information Centre last summer, Clarington has absorbed staff in its Economic Development Division.

“This December, Planning and Infrastructure Services welcomed Ashlee Kielbiski, Jessica Ward, and Megan McLeod to the Economic Development Division. The three staff will continue their work on important tourism initiatives while taking on new projects that align with Clarington’s Economic Development Strategy,” said a Clarington update.

It said the team brings a wealth of knowledge in marketing, communications, and digital engagement. They have established working relationships with the local community, Business Improvement Areas (BIAs), and stakeholders, which will be an asset to the Economic Development Division.

Tourism’s Holiday campaign is underway, promoting visitors to discover the magic of the season, charming rural routes, festive events, and historic downtowns.
