As a motorist, we are sometimes unsure under conditions of low visibility – especially during foggy weather – whether to use our high beam or low beam, to see better.
Well, Ajax Fire and Emergency Services has the answer.
“With the balmy temps we’ve had, we may be in for more foggy weather. If you know a new driver, remind them that low beams are better for driving in fog than high beams,” said the expert.
“High beams reflect the droplets in the fog, making it look it even more opaque,” it added.
