Do you recognize this man found dead in 2012?

Durham Police investigators continue to look for the identity of an unknown male, whose remains were located in Oshawa in 2012.

On March 14, 2012, Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) discovered the remains of a male in a densely wooded area near Ritson Road North and Winchester Road East. Two hikers discovered the deceased person. A post-mortem determined the male to have been 5’9 in height, approximately 224lbs, with dark brown hair. There is a scar on his left knee. He was wearing a red waterproof jacket and hooded sweatshirt, said a police statement.

This investigation remains unsolved and investigators are appealing to the public for help in identifying this unknown male. A facial approximation was recently completed by a Forensic Artist of the Ontario Provincial Police, it added.

The facial approximation, and photographs of the clothing are attached or can be viewed at our website at www.drps.ca.
