Drugs, cash and guns seized during search

Durham Police investigators have arrested three suspects and seized a quantity of drugs, cash and firearms after concluding a drug investigation in Oshawa.

On March 4, members from the Central East Division Community Response Team, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Simcoe Street South in Oshawa. During the search warrant, investigators seized a quantity of cash, approximately $32,000 in drugs (cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, lorazepam and hydromorphone) and two loaded firearms.

Brayden Misanchuk, age 19, from Simcoe Street South, in Oshawa, Nicholas Rileyy, age 23, from Dwight Avenue, in Oshawa and Alyson Ware, age 30, of No Fixed Address were each charged with: Careless Storage of a Firearm x2; Contravention of Storage Regulations x2; Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm x2; Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Knowing It’s Unauthorized x2; Possession of a Loaded Firearm x2; Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Knowing the Serial Number Has Been Tampered With and Possession for Purpose of Trafficking x3. They were held for a bail hearing.
