Durham Hero tracks and saves person in mental distress

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) K-9 Unit proudly announced that a life was saved after one of their team – with a keen nose – managed to track and locate a person in mental distress.

PC Wes King, K9 Klutch and DRPS North Division teamed up to track and locate a party in mental distress.

“After a short, but tricky track, Klutch located the party hiding in a Storage Unit Garage,” police said.

The party was later transported to hospital for mental health assistance, police added without providing further details.

The DRPS North Division covers northern Durham municipalities of Scugog, Uxbridge and Brock.
