Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday confirmed reports that a black bear and cub have been seen in Courtice.
The two were reported in the area of Prestonvale Road and Meadowglade Road. The bear and cub were last seen in the south east direction.
Police urged residents to use caution if in this area.
