Another 9-year old girl approached – this time in…

Durham Police are looking to identify a suspect and vehicle after a 9-year-old girl was approached in Uxbridge on an afternoon.

On June 1, at approximately 3:30 pm, a 9-year-old female reported she was playing in the area of Wheler Court, in Uxbridge, when a woman standing next to a red vehicle approached her and asked the young female to meet her daughter. The young girl went home, locked the door and reported the incident to a parent, police said.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have video surveillance or witnessed anything suspicious during that time-frame.

The suspect is described as: female, with a tanned complexion, 20’s, large build. She had black hair in a ponytail and was wearing purple pants. The vehicle is only described as a dirty red mini-van or possibly a SUV.
