Durham waste facilities closed on Remembrance Day

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that Regional Waste Management Facilities (WMF), the Household Special Waste Depot and the Waste Management Centre will be closed on Remembrance Day, November 11.

In addition, the Waste Management Call Centre will not be answering calls or emails on Remembrance Day. The Waste Management Call Centre will reopen November 14, said an announcement.

Where:

  • Oshawa Waste Management Facility (1640 Ritson Road North, Oshawa)
  • Scugog Waste Management Facility (1623 Reach Street, Port Perry)
  • Brock Waste Management Facility (C22480 Brock Sideroad 17, Cannington)
  • Clarington Household Special Waste Depot (1998 Bowmanville Avenue, Bowmanville)
  • Waste Management Centre (4600 Garrard Road North, Whitby)
  • Waste Management Call Centre

Facilities will reopen November 12 unless otherwise stated and resume regular hours of operation. For more information about the Regional WMFs, including hours of operation and a list of accepted materials, visit durham.ca/WMF.
