Employee punched during gas station robbery

Durham Police yesterday said a gas station employee was assaulted during a robbery in Bowmanville.

On Saturday, January 27 at around 7:20 pm, members of East Division responded to a robbery call at the Canadian Tire Gas Station located at 2405 Regional Highway 2, in Bowmanville.

The employee was behind the register when an unknown male entered the gas station and demanded money. The suspect assaulted the employee by punching him before fleeing with cash, said a police statement.

The suspect is described as: male, White, 20-30 years-old, approximately 5’10”, with a medium build. He was wearing a white toque, black winter coat, black pants, and black shoes.
