A father has been charged in the 2020 death of his infant son.
On November 21, last year, a 2-month-old baby was taken to hospital with brain injuries. Tragically, the infant succumbed to his injuries on December 7, 2020. The infant’s name is being withheld.
The Homicide Unit investigated the incident and have laid charges against the father of the infant.
Alvin Serrano, age 22 of Oshawa, has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Assault Cause Bodily Harm. He was held for a bail hearing.
This death is now recorded as the 9th Homicide investigated by the DRPS in 2020.
