Durham Police have a charged (and released) a female driver caught with six times the permissible level of alcohol in her blood.
On Friday, February 7, at about 5:20 pm, members from East Division responded to a 911 call reporting an impaired driver in the area of Baseline Road and Courtice Road in Courtice, according to police records.
Officers located the vehicle, a Kia Sportage, and spoke to the driver.
The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested. Breath test results indicated 480 mg and 460 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood – six times the legal limit of 80 mg, according to police.
A 43-year-old female from Port Hope was charged and released on an undertaking.
