Female jogger robbed at knife-point in Oshawa

Durham police investigators are asking the public to help identify a suspect who robbed a female jogger and stole her phone Tuesday evening in Oshawa.

On April 7 at about 6 pm, members of Central East Division were called to the area of Darcy Street and Rossland Road East in Oshawa for a street-level robbery. A 47-year-old female victim was jogging on a path in Oshawa when she was accosted by the unknown suspect, who was armed with a knife. The suspect made a demand for cash, but left only with her cellphone, police said.

Uniform officers and K-9 searched the area with negative results, police said adding that the victim sustained minor injuries and didn’t require any medical assistance.

The suspect is described as white, 18-20’s, 5’8″ to 5’11” tall. He had brown hair. He wore a dark hoodie and was armed with a knife.
