Four rifles, drugs seized in Oshawa weekend raids

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said rifles and guns were seized in Oshawa following a drug and firearms investigation.

Led by the Gun and Gang Unit, the investigation resulted in seizure of four rifles and drugs seized over the weekend. A 45-year-old Oshawa man faces numerous charges, said a police statement.

On Friday, May 6, members of the DRPS Gun and Gang Unit concluded a local firearm investigation with the arrest of an Oshawa man, which resulted in the seizure of fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine. A search warrant that later executed at a residence on King Street West in Oshawa that resulted in the seizure of four rifles.

The suspect has been held for a bail hearing. Names, charges and further details available at www.drps.ca.
