Four rob two gas stations, flee with cash…

Durham police investigators are looking to identify four suspects in two separate gas station robberies in Whitby early Thursday morning.

On April 16 at around 2:15 am, members of Central West Division responded to the Petro Canada gas station on Brock Street South in Whitby. Four suspects, one armed with a knife, entered the gas station and made a demand for cash. They stole cash and lottery tickets before fleeing into a silver four-door vehicle which was last seen driving southbound on Brock Street. The employee was not physically injured, police said.

At approximately 2:19 am, members from Central West Division received another call for a commercial robbery at the Petro Canada gas station on Thickson Road South in Whitby. A silver vehicle pulled up and four suspects entered the gas station and made a demand for cash. The suspects stole cash and cigarettes and drove away southbound onto Highway 401, they added.

Police believe that the suspects are responsible for both incidents.

They are described as four males, 20-25 years of age, wearing masks. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver four-door vehicle.
