Four shotguns seized from police raid on Clarington home

One male suspect is facing charges following the seizure of drugs during a search warrant in Clarington, said Durham Police.

On Friday, November 19, members from the Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit concluded a drug trafficking investigation. Officers arrested the suspect near his residence and seized a quantity of drugs. Investigators executed a search warrant at his residence on Concession Street East in Clarington and seized a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin, hydromorphone and Percocet pills. Investigators also seized four shotguns, one of which was improperly stored with ammunition, said a police statement.

Anson Yu, age 40 of Concession Street East, in Clarington, is charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x7; Contravention of Storage Regulations and Careless Storage of a Firearm.

He was held for a bail hearing.
