Upcoming road closures in Oshawa and Whitby

Durham Region has announced key road closures in both Oshawa and Whitby.

Mary Street North in Oshawa will be closed to through traffic and there will be no through access for emergency vehicles.

Temporary conditions signs will be posted in accordance with provincial standards.

  • When: From Monday November 22 until Wednesday November 24
  • Where: Between Bond Street and Richmond Street
  • Why: Excavation for site service connection – 80 Bond St E

Brock Street

The intersection of Brock Street North and Rossland Road in Whitby will be closed from the evening of November 26 to the afternoon of November 29. Detour routes will be posted. The closure is required to remove existing asphalt and repave the road. Following the closure, the current intermittent lane restrictions in the area will continue until December 2022.

Businesses in the area will remain open throughout the construction. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule. For more information about this project, visit Durham.ca/BrockStreetProject.
