The City of Oshawa yesterday announced Freedom Mobile as a naming rights sponsor of Arena 2 at Delpark Homes Centre recreation facility for three years.
The value of the partnership deal was not revealed.
A city statement said members of council were on hand to celebrate the sponsorship (top image) prior to a Freedom Mobile free community skate. As sponsor of Arena 2, in addition to the annual free skate, Freedom Mobile’s sponsorship recognition includes decals on the arena’s windows and the score clock, rink board advertising, as well as other signage throughout the city’s recreation facility.
Delpark Homes Centre is a recreation and community facility featuring a leisure pool, four NHL-sized ice pads, a gymnasium, aerobics studio, fitness centre and elevated indoor walking track. It is also home to an Oshawa Public Libraries branch and Oshawa Senior Community Centres (OSCC55+) branch.
“The City of Oshawa is pleased to announce a three-year partnership with Freedom Mobile at Delpark Homes Centre. We appreciate their generous support and investment in the great City of Oshawa,” said Mayor Dan Carter.
